Focus and Scope


Comm. Horticulturae Journal is a medium for publication of original writings related to horticulture. Script can be the results of research, short review, policy analysis or brief research notes about experiments techniques, tools, observation, experiments and preliminary results. Received manuscript is a script that has never been published or is in process of publication in other scientific journals of national or international.  Manuscripts could be written either in English or in Indonesia.


Comm. Horticulturae Journal covers horticulture in broad sense including genetic and breeding, seed science and technology, production technology, post harvest and processing technology, and economic and marketing aspect.

Peer Review Process

The review process conducted double blind, where the identity of authors and reviewers are concealed. All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal.  The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 1 (one) or more expert reviewers. Reviewers should have the Scopus-ID or Researcher-ID (Thomson Reuters) or recorded as a corresponding author in this journal. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript.  

Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date as well as thematic issue.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.  The journal is committed to free-open access that does not charge readers or their institutions for access. Readers are entitled to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, as long as not for commercial purposes. The license type is CC-BY-SA 4.0.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
